About this experience
This is our wooden dunghi with the captain and one crew, for you alone. We leave Havelock jetty two hours before sunset (the time moves through the year, roughly 3 pm to 3.30 pm) and run north-west along the coast towards Elephant Beach. The boat takes up to six people and the price is for the boat, not per person.
You choose how the two hours go: a slow run along the coast, a stop to swim from the anchored boat in the shallows, or fishing with the hand lines the crew carry. Dolphins are sometimes seen off the point; we do not promise them. As the sun gets low the captain turns for home so you watch it go down over the water on the way back. We tie up at the jetty about 20 minutes after sunset.
Rs 7,500 for the boat, for up to six people, with drinking water, tea in a flask and life jackets for everyone. Bring your own snacks. This is a request booking: you ask for a date and we confirm within the day, because the boat also does our morning trips. The trip does not run if the sea is up; we tell you by 2 pm.
Before you book
Children wear life jackets the whole time and adults whenever the boat is moving. Swimming is only from the anchored boat, in the shallows, with the crew watching. The boat carries a first aid kit, a radio and a torch, and we are back before full dark. We do not go out if the harbour master closes the jetty or the swell is up.

If it is called off
Cancel 48 hours or more before your trip starts: full refund. Cancel 24-48 hours before: half refund. Inside 24 hours: no refund. If the operator or the weather cancels your trip, you are always refunded in full, automatically.
